Recent achievements:
✨ We supported a trafficked young woman and her child to secure a housing association flat. She now feels safe from the men in her previous shared accommodation and no longer lies close to the front door at night for fear of intruders. At last, she can relax and sleep.
✨ With the help of @WaveLength, one refugee now has a TV and another an iPad. Both were experiencing severe isolation and hardship. Both now feel more connected and less alone.
✨ We secured British citizenship and British passports for a woman who was trafficked as a teenager, as well as for her two children. The family are now safe and building a secure, hopeful future
✨One of our students has started helping in our English class for beginners. Having first joined our women’s project as a beginner herself, she’s now gaining the teaching skills and experience needed to access work and more training opportunities
✨We provided a young asylum-seeking woman, living alone in a hotel, with a mobile phone and SIM card. Now she can join our online classes. She’s learning English and starting to make friends with other women in her class
