We’re excited to be partnering with Trauma Treatment International in an organisational trauma risk assessment.
We know the impact of trauma is long and widespread for our clients and participants. 22% of them are survivors of torture, and many others exhibit similar symptoms of stress and anxiety. For our staff and volunteers, vicarious trauma and burnout are significant risks.
We began yesterday with the first of our staff focus groups. Everyone who participated came away impressed with the compassion and care of the Trauma Treatment International staff. More sessions to follow in the next few weeks with our clients, trustees and volunteers. So much more to discuss and learn!
We’re looking forward to the outcome of the review and working together to identify gaps in our practice. Trauma Treatment International’s expert support and training will be invaluable.
