AB arrived in the UK from Eritrea with her small daughter. She had had no education and struggled to make a life here. She got into an abusive relationship and had more children, spoke no English, was in insecure housing and had no control over her life. She came to SW for help with housing. We enrolled her in English classes and helped her to develop social support networks. A few years on she is working, speaks English, her children are thriving in school and she has a confidence and smile that she never thought possible. She volunteers with Salusbury World, supports other parents and seizes every opportunity that comes her way. She is a different woman!
